It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of John Hanna, a beloved member of our alumni community. John’s remarkable journey included achievements in skiing, contributions to Interski, serving as a board member of the CSIA, and recognition in the Hall of Fame, among others.

I consider him a mentor from my beginning at Camp Fortune.

A celebration of John’s life will be held Saturday, September 14th at the Nepean Sailing Club’s Harbour View Room commencing at 2 pm. He would have been touched to know that the flags on the NSC yardarm flew at half mast Saturday, August 10th to mark his passing as a longtime NSC skipper, family member and volunteer.
