Alors que la saison approche, il y a quelques éléments à considérer.

Réunion générale le 11 octobre à 10h au chalet principal.

Je prends les noms des instructeurs disponibles en semaine, faites-moi savoir quels jours vous seriez disponibles et nous pouvons commencer à planifier le programme du lundi au vendredi.

Le tarif journalier en semaine est basé sur le taux de certification et couvre une journée entière.

 Des journées partielles peuvent être organisées en fonction des besoins du programme SIS tout en ayant un engagement minimum pendant les week-ends.

As the season approaches, there are a few things to think about.

General meeting the 11^th of Oct. 10 am main lodge.

I am gathering names for weekday instructors, let me know what days you would like to be available and we can begin planning the Monday to Friday schedule.

Weekday per diem is based on certification rate and spans a full day. Partial days can be done based on the needs of the SIS schedule and having the minimum commitment on weekends.

Il est maintenant temps de commencer à planifier l’hiver, lire les nouvelles de l’Académie est la façon de rester informé. Vous recevrez un e-mail chaque fois qu’une information est envoyée à l’école de neige.

#1 Soyez à la réunion le 11 octobre à 10h. (chalet principale)

#2 Les nouveaux instructeurs et les TA ainsi que les instructeurs de retour sont activés par le processus de formation et de sélection.

#3 Les instructeurs certifiés doivent avoir payé leurs cotisations avant de se présenter à la formation.

Ce dont nous avons besoin de nos instructeurs et TA :

Minimum 1 jour régulier par semaine pour l’hiver, vous pouvez vous engager à plus si vous le souhaitez.

Avec l’engagement d’un jour effectué, vous pouvez venir n’importe quel autre jour pour sois enseigner ou skier/ridée .

Des informations précises seront clarifiées lors de la réunion du 11 octobre.

J’ai hâte de revoir le groupe et de rencontrer les nouvelles personnes qui se joindrons a notre équipe.

Its now time to start planning for winter, reading the Academy News is the way you stay informed. Should you have friends interested in joining the team make sure they are following our blog. To get the information as it comes out, go to www.cfskiacademy.wordpress.com   You can sign up to follow the blog. You will get an email whenever information is sent out to the snow school. 

#1 Be at the meeting on Oct 11^th at 10 am. (Main Lodge)

#2 New instructors and Tas as well as returning instructors are activated through the training and selection process.

#3 Certified instructors must have their dues paid before presenting themselves to training.

What we need from our instructors and TAs;

Minimum 1 regular day per week for the winter, you can commit to more if you wish.

With the one-day commitment done, you may come up on any other day to either teach or free ski/ride.

Precise info will be made clear at the meeting on the 11^th of October.

I am anxious to have our group back together and to meet the new people that will join our team.

Thank you once again for all your kind condolences and support.

We would like to share advance details regarding the Celebration of Life for our father, Denis Lacroix.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at the Huile d’Olive Restaurant on the lake.

Location: 353 Mnt du Lac des 31 Milles, Bouchette, QC
Date: Saturday, August 23, 2025
Time: 12:00 – 3:00 pm

On Monday, August 25, we will be holding a private family interment in Val-d’Or, QC, so he may be laid to rest alongside his predeceased family members — his father, mother, brothers, and sisters.

C’est avec tristesse que je partage la nouvelle du décès de mon père, Denis Lacroix. Bien que nous sachions que son heure approchait car il a été diagnostiqué avec un cancer l’automne dernier, son décès mercredi 13 août reste inattendu.

Merci de partager cela avec la communauté de l’école de ski.

Les détails d’une célébration de la vie suivront.

Sad news, I just heard from Michele that Denis Lacroix has passed. Those that attended the Awards in the spring will remember we gave him a legend standing ovation during the awards. I know you all join me in expressing our sincere condolences to family and friends. Details to follow.

It is with sadness that I share the news of the passing of my dad, Denis Lacroix.  Though we knew his time was coming as he was diagnosed with cancer last Fall, his passing on Wednesday, August 13 was still unexpected.

Please share this with the ski school community.

J’espère que vous profitez tous de votre été, je suis ravi de vous informer que le terrain a été dégagé et que les fondations sont en cours de pose pour notre lodge.

Je voulais juste partager cela avec vous, il est encore trop tôt pour commencer à battre le tambour. Mais il n’est jamais trop tôt pour rêver de ski/snowboard et se fixer des objectifs de développement pour la saison à venir.

 Les programmes de l’école de neige sont désormais en vente, et pour éviter toute confusion, les instructeurs avec des enfants à charge pourront acheter une fois qu’ils seront activés en décembre. (Ne vous inquiétez donc pas)

Hope you’re all enjoying your summer, I am happy to let you know that ground has been broken and foundations are being laid for our lodge.

Just wanted to share this with you, it’s still too early for me to begin beating the drum. But it’s never too early to dream about skiing/snowboarding and set yourself some development goals for the coming season.

Snow school programs are now on sale, and to avoid confusion, instructors with dependant children will be able to purchase once they are activated in December. (so don’t worry)

First, I would like to say how nice it was to see such a great turnout for the Awards last Saturday. It was great to see parents and instructor alumni present to share the end of season awards.
