A big thank you to all working the Ont break , its remarkable how the extra help has allowed us to teach the program as well as privates every day. Thank you all again.

This weekend we will be teaching privates as well as a group of university students (sat morning 30 ski and 10 snowboard lessons) they should be ready by 11 , please check into the bell during the day as we may need you .

Get your banquet tickets. soon i will be sending out the list of nominees for the various awards.

On march 23rd we are hosting Kids up front ( 100 kids for a two hour beginner lesson) we had a great time last year helping these kids discover a new sport, we have list of instructors at the cage . Sign up if you want to work it. its a 10 to 12 thing.

Its already the end of the 9 week programs, it was a pleasure to see the Ski Wee parades and witness the proud parents snapping photos of their children skiing down the hill. It makes it obvious that we are trusted to create skiers/riders and by extension more snow families .

As we have said the season is not over , this week is the Ont March break and we will be happy to see all that show up to help out with the lessons. Those that committed to teach , thanks and please be here before 9 am.

Please send in nominations for awards and remember to get your ticket for our Banquet on the 30th. should you have pictures please send to academy@campfortune.com we will add to the slide show at dinner.

We will be once again hosting the ‘Kids up Front ‘ group on the 23rd of March, 100 kids , we will provide; 2 hour lesson, rentals, tickets and will be looking for instructors to make this happen. Last year was great and the organizers are very exited return with another group of deserving kids. see the cage if your able to teach on that day.

Good work on the program everyone, and thanks for helping our clients ride/ski better and enjoy the hills. Keep skiing/riding until your parents tell you to mow the lawn.

Thank you to all that have stepped up to help out this week. We can use more help for next week, please let us know by calling the Cage xt 2223.

Next weekend being the last of the 9 week program and knowing we will have absentee instructors, i would ask that Sat people contact their supervisors to ask if they could be of help on the Sunday and vice versa. Team work would really help finish the program well.

Below are links to the NCC survey concerning the Gatineau Park and more specifically Camp Fortune. Your participation in the survey is welcomed.

The NCC is on Phase 3 of the Master Plan review process which will determine our future and what we can and can’t do. Camp Fortune is designated a high intensity recreational hub and it seems there has been support to maintain this status-thanks for your efforts to date, let’s keep it up.  We ask that you continue to support our efforts to further develop Camp Fortune as a premier ski resort with year round activities. Please attend a public consultation and / or fill out the online survey, there is a question specific to supporting the intent and proposed uses at Camp Fortune (sports, outdoor recreation and events).

Members of the public will also be able to participate in the review of the Gatineau Park Master Plan through an online survey, available from Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at 6 pm until Sunday, March 3, 2019, at midnight.

We are still looking for some people to teach on the march breaks, please let us know if your able to teach. I know that many were checking as to whether or not you were able arrange rides and so forth. please let us now as soon as possible if your able. Thank you in advance.

Hello all,

On a eu une superbe fin de semaine, beau temps belle neige. D’ici à la fin de saison ont devrait avoir du soleil et des températures clémente. At least that’s what i’m hoping for.

Thank you , for your hard work this season, I hear lots of positive comments from the parents I meet out on the hill.

With the march breaks approaching , its important for us to know who we can expect to be here teaching. thanks to those that are signed up, and to those thinking about it please tell us before this weekend . Without clear #s we will need to manage the # of students we take on. Its a nice way to make a few bucks and enjoy 3 or 4 days of skiing/riding. Call the cage ext 2223 to sign up for either the Q or Ont break. if transport is an issue let us know and we can help with some car pooling options.
