Hey all,

A big thank you to all for last weekend, the cold was a challenge and keeping ourselves and the clients warm is hard work. positive outlook and keeping them moving is the key. I have received many positive comments as to how we were breaking up into groups this year. The success of our systems depends on all of our instructors being engaged and you have been, good job and keep it up. this coming weekend will be warmer -13 and -5 balmy.

We will hold our first social after skiing on Saturday, 5$ beer, 2$ pizza and 2$ soft drink, proceeds go to the Norm Grondin Bursary fund, this fund pays half of the level one cost for the winners of the TA award at the end of the season. So its not just an excuse to have fun. Plan on spending a bit of time prior to going home.

Sunday is the All staff party in the main lodge, please confirm to cage if attending.

The following Sunday we will have a Norm Grondin Bursary fund social for the Sunday gang.

March break sign ups sheet are out, so if you intending on teaching please let us know.

Anyone needing a seasons pass refund, please bring in the card and leave it in the cage .

Hello all,

Last weekend went very well, a big thank you to all. Based on the feedback from our customers we did a great job. This coming weekend will be adding in a few of the people that missed last week and making sure our groups are balanced and at the same level . Also important to be sure we are challenging our students, and having fun on the slopes .

Its not how much you teach, its how much they ski/ride.

This Sunday we will have an “all staff” party, and meal between 5 pm and 9 pm. please confirm your attendance to the cage.

Thank you to those whom followed the lift evacuation training, last Sunday

8 am sessions begin this weekend, we will offer training after the last class at 4;15 till 6 pm.

The programs begin this weekend and we of course expect everyone boots on , on snow by 830. plan your arrival accordingly.

Be sure you have your name tag , or make a temp. A reminder to have your poles , I expect all instructors/ TA’s to have poles to use as safety bars on the chairs or to help you pull kids to the lifts as well as teaching aids. I was noticing the odd instructor without poles. Have a pencil in your coat as well as class card or paper to take notes if needed.

We have had training and should be ready for our guests as they arrive, its always a bit of a shock but as long as your paying attention and following the plan all will go well. Your attitude is your most important tool, if you are positive and actively leading the group, the pupils will respond .

On Sunday afternoon, 4;30 the area will hold its annual lift evacuation training, I encourage all to attend , it only lasts approx an hour. Always good to share the info and have some knowledge of the system.

All for now

Lets have a great first weekend.

Hello all,

Un gros merci à tous ceux qui ont aider durant les fêtes, now that the silly season is over, the fun will will begin.

Before getting into a short laundry list, allow me to remind everyone of the winter schedule, be here early and stay all day. Your supervisors have already specified their requirements. I am aware that many of you depend on parental transport, so to the parents I say thank you and Get them Here on time please.

Coat sizes; if you would like a smaller jacket , we have xs and xxs and would like to trade for slightly larger coats. this will help us find a few bigger coats to pass out.

Suggest everyone read the instructor hand book , it is in the academy library, lots of important info, lift protocols, safety , and lots more.

With the programs beginning , we expect all hands on deck ready and able.

I will need a few of our casual instructors for client orientation / greeting as well as manning the welcome tables. Contact me if you can help with those assignments.

In closing just be here and ready to go.
